The Projects & Inititives page has been updated with the final version of the GLAM survey report.

GLAM Meeting plus Access & Audience Workshop

1-2 April at the University of Sussex.
Closing date: Friday 20 March.

The meeting on 1 April will be preceded by a tour of Sussex University Special Collections and the Mass Observation Archive.

The event on 2 April is intended to bring together GLAM members and representatives from potential audiences to discuss how different sectors can work together and learn from each other's outreach activities. It will provide the opportunity for GLAM members to share their experiences of widening access to their literary collections and build on the work done in the 2006 GLAM survey to map outreach activities throughout the UK.

Audience areas include community groups, schools, and Higher Education. Volunteers are still being sought to speak on the first two audience areas, so any members who would be willing to give a short five minute presentation on their activities with community groups or schools are invited to contact Fiona Courage.

A confirmed list of panel chairs and speakers will be sent out nearer the time, along with the agenda for the meeting. The attached programme also includes information about accommodation in the area for those of you planning to attend both days.
